Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Associate, Finance Purchasing. This position will play a key role ensuring purchasing/procurement transactions are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The position facilitates the procurement of goods, services, and equipment for site by utilizing systems and process knowledge. In addition to ensuring that orders are processed efficiently, the Associate will monitor transactions to ensure compliance with company purchasing policy. This position requires the ability to prepare and analyze information garnered through SAP.

Responsibilities:

In this position, you will complete and submit the new/change vendor request form for new vendors; develop processes, controls and metrics around purchasing and finance; collaborate with Requestor/Requisitioner on supplier payment method; support Plant Controller with the tasks of processing/organizing/directing the flow of documentation for the P2P process; act as central purchasing point for all P-card purchases for site; and manage incoming non-PO invoices. You will also resolve invoice discrepancies by collaborating with Accounts Payable and vendors/suppliers; develop and maintain tracking mechanism to ensure timely processing and communication for reporting; utilize data from SAP and other sources to identify purchasing trends and patterns; and assist Plant Controller on product costing, fixed asset and related cost accounting tasks.

Calls on health care professionals in assigned sales territory and communicates product advantages, features and benefits, plays a vital role in fostering the Company’s reputation and image. Is responsible for selling and promoting Daiichi Sankyo products in a highly professional, ethical and knowledgeable manner.

Requirements:

Achieves or exceeds sales objectives in assigned territory.

Builds relationships with physicians and key thought leaders and influencing physicians and healthcare providers to prescribe Daiichi Sankyo promoted products. Analyzes customer needs and interests. Complies with applicable laws in providing physicians with pharmaceutical samples and literature. Represents the Company in a highly professional and ethical manner, and fosters the Company’s reputation and image. Continually enhances product and disease state knowledge by participating in assigned training and completing outside reading. Serves as a disease state expert and provides a high level of product expertise and customer service for all accounts. Carries out all sales and marketing programs including occasional evening and weekend events in the approved manner. Maintains all equipment and territorial records in the prescribed manner. Utilizes sales force automation system and other equipment to enhance impact of sales call and territory management. Transports materials (samples, visual aids, audio visual and other electronic equipment) up to 25 pounds into physician’s office.

Education and Experience Requirements:

BS/BA. Sales experience preferred.

This position will develop and execute projects for scientific and medical education; develop training programs for internals of different level of scientific expertise, plan execution and implementation on global level in close collaboration with regions; and develop longterm strategy for internal training by Edoxaban University. You will also implement communication structures and databases for scientific education; plan and execute scientific Symposia on a global level; and support KOL Strategy by planning and executing Advisory boards to gather advice from OL of different levels and specialities on a global level, support OL management globally to ensure coordination between global, regions and other functions. Responsibilities: In this position, you will run advisory boards from the initiation and planning phase; collaborates with GMAC\regions and externals for planning and executing of scientific and medical education in compliance with local rules in various countries; and prepare and present study results\training updates\publications at internal/external meetings. You will also maintain scientific platform, including material development, vendor management and establishing new technical solution. Education/Experience MD, PharmD, or PhD preferred; training or experience in therapeutic area is desirable. Masters Degree may be considered pending years of experience/qualifications. Minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical industry, clinical, and/or academic experience for MD, PharmD, or PhD; Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience for MS degree in health sciences; leadership experience managing scientific projects and staff in matrix structure is desirable. Proven track record of working successfully with cross-functional teams to achieve goals. Experience with medical projects as mentioned above is required. Must be willing to travel 35% of the time.$
